Hughes is a founding partner of Hughes, Kalkbrenner & Ozorowski, LLP, concentrating his practice in land use, zoning and real estate development; real estate law; corporate and commercial law; business formation and transactions. His clients include landowners, developers, landlords and tenants in connection with acquisition, leasing, permitting and funding of residential and commercial developments, retail centers, office complexes, landfills, trash transfer stations, quarries and other land uses. He has represented banks and borrowers in a wide variety of transactional real estate and financing matters. Mr. Hughes also practices in the area of estate planning and administration. Mr. Hughes received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from LaSalle College (cum laude) in 1971 and a Juris Doctorate from Villanova Law School in 1974. Mr. Hughes was a staff attorney for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Richard S. Lowe of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He has been in private practice in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, since 1976 and is admitted to practice before the Courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hughes has appeared before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Commonwealth Court, Superior Court and Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
